Q: André Thomas next visit, April 4 or 25th?

Game folks,
André cannot visit April 11. He can either visit this Friday or on the 18th. Which would suit both groups better? Would rather he see both projects the same day.

Leave a comment here.

John Schmitz/ Anthony Criscione 3/31 blog post Part 2

On the programming end of things, the system for starting the day is in place and working, the system for switching cameras as the target moves through the house is in place and working, and the house has been broken up into components for navmeshing. Remaining assignments are to complete navmeshing, and create a main menu.

Deliverables for next week are completed programming and modeling, beginning of texturing and animation.

Current plan is Modeling from 3/31 to next Monday, finishing the house, all interior objects, and anything visible out windows. Programming to be finished by 4/2, whereupon I'll join John in modeling. 4/7 to 4/ 14 will be texturing and animation. 4/14 to 4/21 will be implementation of everything into the level.

André Thomas visit confirmed

André Thomas will visit the gaming groups on Friday, March 21. Please have assets in the game engine working, as we discussed. Have specific questions ready for him.

Phase 2: Production - Deliverables schedules

Project stage 2
Further development to tight finish. Stage 2 will end March 21, with weekly reviews until then.

Example: Full color 2D animatic with lighting and styling, all assets designed (characters, environments, other); prototype game including visual elements, color, tight flowchart, and styling; technical and artistic considerations together in all cases.

Depending on the medium and type of project, there will be different work flows and therefore different deliverables. We'll work with you to clarify if you have questions.

There will be a review of your work each week from now on.

Game team reviews each Monday.

CG shorts reviews each Wednesday.

Review will be based on what is posted here on the blog: make sure you tag your work with your name. Teams should clearly state what each person did for the week's deliverables. Deadline to post work to the blog weekly is Monday or Wednesday at 11:30 am. Include a list of deliverables you will post for the following week, specifically. Continue to post log lines at the top of each entry.
