Step 1 final; Step 2

206 Step 1 complete by end of class Friday; Step 2 over the holiday as homework.

Notes: some of blog entries are today's innovations. Push these ideas further into the future.

Finish step 1
By Friday January 17 end of class (completing step 1):
All 10 fragments are posted with references and an image.

Criteria for good fragments
10 good sentences + image + reference
Can build ideas from it
Believable or plausible in future
Clearly understood idea
An innovation + a future extension
Does not have to exist yet
Reference (url or book title or film title..)
Monday, January 20 is Martin Luther King Day, no class.

Step 2

Homework: From all the fragments on the blog, create three combinations of three images each to create a sequence that you describe in a caption. Use your own or others' fragments. The idea is not to tell a story yet, but instead focus on tying shots together.

By beginning of class on Wednesday, January 22, these should be posted to the blog:

3 sequences, with 3 images each, and a sentence tying them together.

Example of one sequence (assignment is to do 3 of these).

A person perceives she is in a busy urban area with lots of media spew, when actually she is standing in a corn field.
